    What is Inner Healing?

    When children judge parents and others, they set in motion cycles of sowing and reaping that may continue affecting relationships into adulthood. The cross stops the reaping when we forgive those who wounded us and repent of bitter root judgements, inner vows, and foundational lies we formed in reaction to them. And through the resurrection side of inner healing, we can replace bitterness with honor.

    We not only deal with negative thoughts
    and behaviors, but with the law of sowing
    and reaping that gives them power over us. We sow bitter roots. We reap bitter fruits. The cross stops the reaping and makes way for new life.

    The power of the cross cancels judgements (ways we see others), inner vows (fleshly decisions we think will relieve pain), and lies we believe about ourselves. The Holy Spirit resurrects the person God created us to be, and we see others as God sees them.

    Elijah Rain Ministries is directed by Mark Sandford, M.Div., in partnership with his wife, Maureen. Mark is an author, international speaker, and pastoral counselor with over 40 years of experience. Our teachings are built on the foundational work of Mark's parents, John and Paula Sandford, and have been continually refined through decades of hands-on ministry.

    Our core methods for inner healing and deliverance and our teachings on the prophetic and other subjects are firmly grounded in biblical doctrine and the transformative work of the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to call hearts to repentance, healing, and reconciliation through a balanced, accountable, biblically sound, and Holy Spirit-led approach to spiritual growth and ministry.
    Meet the Teacher

    Mark Sandford

    Mark Sandford directs Elijah Rain Ministries with the help of his wife, Maureen. He brings over 40 years of experience as an author, international speaker, and pastoral counselor, with a Master of Divinity in counseling. Mark has authored Turning the Hearts of Fathers and co-authored four influential books, including Deliverance and Inner Healing. He and Maureen are dedicated to bringing inner healing and prophetic understanding to the Body of Christ. They share a passion for training leaders and restoring hearts.
